First impressions are everything. Walking up to order, there were flies and a literal wasp all over the bags of bread. I ordered an 8" pepperoni on Garlic Pepper bread, when I took my first bite the bread was firm, stale and difficult to chew. I reluctantly went up to the counter and clearly interrupted one of the managers talking down to her employees while they bickered directly behind the register. I immediately apologized, reiterating they don't have to remake anything but I'm not comfortable eating the sandwich. The immediate response I received was extremely rude and dismissive, without even looking up to speak to me, "Okay?", "No it's not, I baked it this morning.","so?" She offered to have the sandwich remade on white bread only after rolling her eyes at me, then yelled across the store to have someone else (who was busy) remake it. While the other employee made my sandwich the manager scolded at her for not finishing the precious task and said multiple people are waiting on her now, which just caused more bickering in front of me. The remade sandwich wasn't even better, there's a strange sand texture and the pickles are sweet which is totally not what I expected and off putting. Both sandwiches and the $12 I wasted on them in the trash. I'd give zero stars if I could. Goodcents was my first job, I was there for about 5 years. I know how the bread is made and that bread was not fresh. I'm not an idiot, don't treat me like one because YOUR bread was poor quality. Learn how to treat paying customers before you don't have any.

By the way, responding to every single review on Google and Yelp review with, "We take great pride in providing excellent customer service each visit." Is a blatant lie. You make no effort to correct the consistent errors this store makes or even apologize for the bad experiences. Listing your customer service number is a cop out. Clearly you and your employees skipped the training on customer interactions and business ethics because this is just pathetic. Deal with your issues and do better.

I watched the light in the employees' eyes steadily diminish as they were forced to witness their bumblingly inept coworker manage to fail in every single step of the impossible ten-minute-long endeavor of constructing my sandwich. With a near-cartoon slapstick precision, the very mundane realities of the restaurant resisted her every action. Every ingredient of the sandwich was somehow its own impossible barricade to overcome, and the construction of the sandwich somehow drove her from one side of the room to the other no less than six times. Despite having removed the beef from the oven herself, she was driven to wit's end by the recurring surprise that said beef was hot. She walked on line, cutting her coworkers off from their simpler, successful but less spectacular sandwiches. She stole the knife from the line, hampering the whole business's continuing functionality. Finally, sandwich open, growing cold and out of my hungry hands, she made not one but two more trips back to the line to put dual fistfuls of pickles and olives back in their respective places. Finally, all tasks somehow (heroically) completed, the staff were nearly audible in their relief that the endeavor was over.
If that woman worked in any of the kitchens I myself have worked in - and comported herself with such insane obliviousness to the economy of movement a kitchen requires -- she would not last a single slow lunch shift without being firmly asked to leave and never return.
It was quite possibly the most unremarkable cheesesteak I have ever encountered in my life.

Five years down the road, and they are still bad.
I had forgotten just how bad. The owner responds to customers, but doesn't correct the situation.

Terribly slow! And no remorse for making customers wait. Food is alright though but doesn't make up for such terrible service - they even got my order wrong when they had 25 minutes to complete it. Terrible.

      Mediocre, at best.

Chipotle cheesesteak- very little cheese, very little chipotle. Boring, bland, dry.

Lot's of meat, impossibly small amount of cheese or chipotle mayo.

Not impressed. Won't be making that mistake again.

Decided to try Goodcents for the very first time to give them a try since I usually favor Jimmy Johns and for good reason! Jimmy John's knows customer service. Goodcents has no clue. I stood in front of at least six employee's for at least ten minutes waiting for service. There was only one other customer in the restaurant so they obviously were not busy.
I was finally noticed when one of the employees dropped a ticket on my side of the counter and asked if I could pick it up. I refused until I got some service. He walked around the counter and said nothing. I stood there for a couple minutes still invisible and finally decided to turn around and leave. I will never go into another Goodcents restaurant. I will always be loyal to Jimmy John's. They know how to provide good customer service. Goodcents take a lesson from Jimmy John's!

Ordered a turkey and Swiss online and they gave me a ham and Swiss. The bag it came in was marked turkey and Swiss. I've ordered online about 5 times over the last several months and I have never received the correct order! Either the wrong sandwich or wrong toppings. I've had much better luck with other locations. I really wish they'd get the order right they don't even care to try.

I was extremely excited to see a Goodcents open in our neighborhood however, since ordering over half a dozen times, all of my experiences have been very disappointing. I use the app for ease of ordering and to save time. Not once have they made the order correctly or had my order ready for pickup when they said it would be. I'm not talking waiting an extra 2-3 minutes, but a minimum of 10 minutes past the stated pickup time every single time. Today I used the delivery service. The order took 55 minutes to be delivered. When I called 45 minutes after the order was placed, the gal on the phone told me it would be 15-20 minutes, but could not tell me where the driver was at. If Valentino's can deliver in under an hour on husker game day, the fact that Goodcents can't deliver two sandwiches on a Monday faster is beyond disappointing.
