Fireplace, Stone and Patio completed the stone work on our gas fireplace recently and we are pleased with the results. We also purchased our gas fireplace from there and it works and looks great. We ultimately decided to go with them for the stone work as well because they were far more affordable than several others we checked into. The sales person and installers were very helpful and respectful of our home, making sure to clean up when they were done. We are satisfied with both the quality and craftsmanship of our new fireplace. #ThankYouThursday

We met with Fireplace Stone & Patio. They ultimately refaced our fireplace in the kitchen. We were quite pleased with the final product. Those workers coming to our home were both professional and highly skilled. It looks great and the workmanship was top notch. The sales person made it a little difficult to work with. He was slow to communicate. However he was nice and we were able to get what we wanted. Overall I would recommend them if you need any fireplace services. They have been here in Omaha a long time and you can trust they will provide a quality product.

I had two fireplaces replaced in my home at the same time. A wood burner and a gas log. Both are great fireplaces and we enjoy them. Our only problem is the chimney cap leaks. That was the reason the fireplaces were replaced. The roof cap leaked and rusted both fireplaces. Everything, including caps and the entire chimney, was replaced. The roof cap still leaks. Just a drip at times but we can hear it. I have called several times over the last year but they have not corrected the problem.

Great experience selecting the fireplace at the showroom but after that the communication was bad. The person who was supposed to do the install "not homed" me when I had the front door open waiting for his arrival!?! Because of that, I had to wait until the next day for him to come back out... When he came back he didn't have what he needed to do the job because his work order was listed as a service call instead of an instal! I had to wait ANOTHER week to get on the schedule again for something they messed up on! Finally the day arrives when they will come to finish this never ending project... by 11 I hadn't heard anything so I called to see what time the tech is coming. The lady who answered the phone told me my appointment was scheduled for tomorrow. She gave ZERO Fs about my situation and couldn't even be bothered to fake empathy. For as expensive as this place is, I expected a lot better service. Will not recommend.

We were initially impressed with the service we received at the store when purchasing our split-face stone for our accent wall. The stone we chose was featured in the store in a large display and we loved it. We expressed to the salesman that the stone being true to color (as seen in store) when we received it was the most important thing to us. The salesman assured us that the stone would look just as it did in the store.
When we received the stone, we were appalled with the poor quality of the stone, there was so much variation that our "white" stone wall now looked like it was checkered b/c there were so many gray stones. I called the store and expressed our frustration; the salesman was not receptive and did not seem to want to rectify the situation. I was told that the manufacturer would send us a stain kit and we would need to stain it ourselves. I agreed and expressed to them that if possible, we would like the stain kit expedited due to the fact that this was holding up our whole house remodel which was time sensitive with the holidays approaching. It took 9 days for the stain kit to arrive. By that time, I asked that we receive the $100 credit in place of it since it had taken so long. My husband had to just paint the stone which did take away from the look that we thought we were purchasing when we opted for the more expensive stone. I felt as though they did not want to be bothered once they had our money. I was not pleased with the product we received or the way in which the situation was resolved. Just make sure you get some type of written guarantee or you might be wasting more time and money like we did. Hope this helps!

I recently had to call Fireplace Stone and Patio. They came out promptly and repaired what needed to be fixed at no charge. They also noticed cold air coming into the house from the fireplace. They noticed some areas outside that was drawing air and caulked it and put more insulation inside to fix that problem. They also notice the fan had a strange noise and found a cord has slipped down and was rubbing the fan. They fixed that. Everything done at no cost. Very professional and always courteous. My fireplace is 4 year old.

Great job arrived on time, serviced the fireplace and it looked new again. Book well in advance and do it before you need it done.

      First to Review

Dealing with Fireplace Stone and Patio has been a complete nightmare. I urge anyone that is considering to use them to look for alternative because I don't wish my experience on anyone. We purchased a 3 year old home in the summer of 2012 and we knew we had a problem with our fireplace shortly after the first winter freeze. He noticed that we had a draft coming into through the fireplace and it was unbearable to use our living room. The winter of 2013 was not too bad for the Omaha area so we waited until spring to have someone come out and take a look at our fireplace. We contacted the builder he recommended contact the folks that installed it. So we called Fireplace Stone and Patio. To our surprise they wanted to charge almost $100 dollars for someone to just come and take a look, so we opted not to pay the fee and we found 3 other companies that specialized in fireplaces to come and take a look at no cost. For the most part all contractors told us they needed to look at the back of the fireplace to see what if anything was wrong and some suggested that it could be an insulation issue. The winter of 2014 was the same....lots of cold air coming thru the fireplace and we decided to have fireplace stone and patio finally come out and take a look. Again they said that it would cost 89 dollars for a service call. The tech came in and said that it was an insulation issue. He recommended getting a blower and letting the fireplace run all day and all night. He also recommended installing a pilot light to keep the firebox warm. We installed both the blower $120 and the pilot light switch for $149 and nothing changed. We then contacted the company, the installation manager said it was not their issue to hire a contractor to open the siding and check the insulation. So we did at a cost of $1,300 dollars. The checked the insulation and inspected the box and sealed everything back up. They didn't notice anything wrong with the insulation. A day later we noticed the cold again and the draft issue came back. We took infrared temperature reading and they back of our fireplace was the same temp as the outside temp...a whooping 13 degrees. The stone around the fireplace was 20 degrees warmer. I reach out to the manufacture (Heatilator) and they told me that when there are draft issues it's usually an installation issue. So contact Fireplace Stone and patio again and spoke to the installation manager on several occasions and they are refusing to take ownership of the issue and they are refusing to work with me. They said they have pictures of their install and they are not doing anything about it. I even sent them a picture of the back of the fireplace, where it appears that exhaust pipe was not installed correctly and nothing. It's amazing from perspective how this company is now willing to help. The builder is pointing the finger at them since they installed it. The manufacture is saying that it the installer and the pictures clearly show how the cold air is possibly coming but nothing from them. I hope that my case is an isolated issue because I would have for another family to be experiencing what I'm experiencing and for that reason, I would caution buyers to beware and find a more reputable company for your fireplace needs. I would stay clear of this business since they obviously don't care about customer satisfaction or running a reputable business.
