The Other Room

What fun! A tiny speakeasy with a great atmosphere. A door that limits entry. Cash only. Small space - 12 to 18 people. Eclectic art, tie wall, a cabinet of notebooks for those who wish to record their views on the drinks. Cozy areas to sit and chat. Lots of unusual additions. The staff was very helpful.

My only criticisms are that too many drinks used rye and gin (probably my two least fave) and the menu book is cute but the format takes too long to flip through.

Unique place. Throw back to prohibition. Our group enjoyed the decor and general vibe. Drinks were tasty but not cheap. We were there for the experience over the price. We were pleased with our experience. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Fun spot to visit.

It's a great space. Unfortunately the staff is arrogant, rude and off-putting, even if you carefully follow the numerous mandates that are imposed on you as a condition of entry. I think it's possible to be pretentious without being discourteous, but the dude-bros staffing The Other Room haven't figured out how yet. Avoid.

Cute place to have a drink. They had outside seating with fire pits. We sat inside on their comfy chairs. Ok drinks. Not too impressed with staff, don't get me wrong, they were attentive and friendly but they were eating and having their own drinks...not professional in my opinion. The menu was extensive, I ordered something suggested by the waitress, wanted something with citrus and I got something extremely sweet. Cute place but not the best.

Just happend to find this bar when looking forward a place to meet a friend in downtown Lincoln. One word.... Dope!

The entire experience is something different. I couldn't even find the bar at first but after asking was directed to look for the "big door by the blue light". When you knock you are greeted through a metal peephole and asked how many are in your party. Getting out is equally interesting. You have to push a button which releases the super large door that is discussed to look like a bookshelf.

Inside it's a tiny but beautifully designed space that can only accommodate 25 people. The drink menu is incredible unique and the drinks taste delicious. The whole vibe was really cool. Felt like I was somewhere exclusive.

I will absolutely be back again to try more drinks. This spot is off the hook!

Update: I tried to reach out to the establishment to find some sort of peace, but have received no response for two weeks now. I would've been willing to remove this review had I just gotten an apology, but that ship has sailed. Trust me, DONT GO HERE.

First off, I have heard glowing reviews from most of my friends, and admit that I am partially responsible for my negative experience.

The drinks were fantastic, and the environment was fun. This was my first time visiting this space, and the vibe was excellent. I am somewhat hard of hearing, so I tend to not always realize how loud I talk and I have somewhat of a booming laugh. I understand that I misread the room, and was a little louder than the vibe of the room. I was informed that a waiter had asked me to be a bit quieter, but I don't remember that interaction, so if that's the case, that's my bad, but it felt like the bartender was covering.

The reason for my 1 star, is the fact that I was publicly reprimanded by the bartender for at least a minute. I have never been more embarrassed at an establishment in my life, not just myself, but the three people at the table with me. I am not the type of person to drink too much and be problematic. I would've preferred they quietly ask me to leave than just be yelled at by a bartender across the room.

It felt like it came out of nowhere, and the entire room went absolutely silent as the bartender took the time to tell me that I am ruining other peoples experience by laughing too loud.

When I approached him at the end of the night and said, "the way you spoke to me was not acceptable" his response was, "yes it was".

Really sad that I won't be going here again, because my coworkers and friends generally love this bar. I have just never been so disrespected and publicly embarrassed before.

Neat little speakeasy! Drink were AWESOME. Good ambiance. Small place, only about 20 people can fit in there. Very quiet environment, good place to have a good conversation and play a card game. Service was super nice, and the drinks were delicious and intricate!

Great speakeasy type of spot. Mixologist extremely knowledgeable. Price was about right for mid-shelf+ and top shelf liquors. No food available. If you are wanting a raucous bar experience DO NOT GO HERE!! However, if you are looking for a relaxing experience where you can actually carry on a conversation, this is definitely your type of place. Highly recommend.

Nice and quiet with great ambience. The bartenders are top notch.

If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. This is, without a doubt, the most pretentious place I have been to in Lincoln. We bought three rounds of (overpriced) drinks. The barback asked us to leave saying he has already asked us three or four times ( he had not) not to be so loud. We weren't any louder than the other 10 hipsters that were there. Don't waste your money. They don't appreciate it.
