This week's blog post explores how NGR is making a difference in Adult Education classes for English learners at Metropolitan Community College - Learning Community of North Omaha - Parent University. Discover how NGR is promoting literacy for everyone, regardless of age, language, or reading proficiency. Read More: https://bit.ly/4aXC3S9 ______________________________ The Nebraska Growing Readers (NGR) program, which is a collaboration between Nebraska Children and Families Foundation, Nebraska Department of Education, NCFL Nebraska, and Unite for Literacy, has aimed primarily at providing free books for licensed childcare providers who can share them with their families, but the books have also been distributed to other organizations where children and families can access them.

Join #BeyondSchoolBells in nurturing environmental stewardship among high school students across #Nebraska. The internship is open to high school students. ☀️ Mentors are also needed to lead high school groups (3 students) as they travel around Nebraska learning from conservation experts and practitioners. Mentors will receive a $2,000 stipend.
