FHU is in the playoffs and headed to Philadelphia for the Grand Champion Tournament! No we don't have a sports team, but we do have all-star engineers! Colten Daake and Peyton Weiss are winners of the MOVITE - Missouri Valley District of ITE Traffic Bowl and advance this summer with teammates from University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering. Join us in congratulating them and cheering them on in the finals.

Professors for the day - Alivia Plankis, PE and Cindy Otegui guide students on how to prepare a design proposal. Senior projects were recently presented to Colorado Department of Transportation to replace the I-270 bridge over the South Platte River. FHUers leave the environment better than they found it! This is the 6th annual Salt Creek Clean Up in Lincoln. We do this for the "greater good" and stewardship of our natural resources. The numbers are impressive - check out our impact over the years: • 116 volunteers • 90 bags of trash • 6 bicycles • 4 tires • 2 shopping carts • 2 kids swimming pools... 🤔 • and a laser printer!

We’re taught at a young age not to play in traffic. Why…because it’s dangerous! Every day these fine folks make sure construction zones are safe for the traveling public. So, the next time you whiz by, remember these hard working men and women are out there for your safety. Slow down and stay alert for theirs. #WorkZoneSafety #NWZAW2024
