We are excited to announce the return of our annual towel drive for Lincoln’s People's City Mission. From May 13th to May 26th, we are encouraging all of Lincoln to donate towels of any condition for use at the Mission’s shelter in Lincoln. Towels are always in short supply, and the donations serve a vital need. The public is encouraged to drop off towels at any of these collection sites: ALLO Fiber - 330 S 21st Street Bierhaus Maisschäler - 151 N 8th St Don’t Panic Labs - 1317 Q Street, Suite 150 Good Life Fitness - 300 Speedway Cir & 8601 Amber Hill Ct Nebraska Innovation Campus / The Mill Coffee & Bistro – 2021 Transformation Drive Oasis Barbershop - 2709 O Street, Suite 8 Open Harvest Co-op Grocery - 330 South 21st Street, Suite 104 People’s City Mission Help Center - 6800 P Street People’s City Mission Shelter - 110 Q Street Salon Voe - 1600 Normandy Ct 104 Starbucks - 33rd and O Street, 70th and O Street, 12th and P Street, 27th and Kensington, 56th and Shady Creek, 84th and Eiger, and 27th and Pine Lake Turbine Flats Project - 2124 Y St Urban Hound Dog Park & Bar - 4848 Van Dorn Street, Suite 1 Wax Buffalo – 4723 Prescott Ave Ameritas, City of Lincoln – Lincoln, Nebraska Information Services, Hudl, Nelnet, and Olsson are participating as private collection sites so their employees can easily donate. The PTOs of Adams Elementary, Kooser Elementary, and Schoo Middle School are coordinating collection barrels so students and their families can participate. The Air National Guard and Army National Guard are hosting collection barrels on base for their airmen and soldiers. Prolific Performance, Rabble Mill, and The Bay are hosting barrels for their participants. The towel drive idea was inspired by the internationally recognized Towel Day, celebrated every May 25 in honor of the late author Douglas Adams. The company’s name was inspired by Adams’ best-known novel, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, where the words “Don’t Panic” are printed on the Guide's cover. “A towel,” according to the book, “is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have.” We will share the final donation counts in the week following the drive. Monetary donations are also accepted online. Visit https://lnkd.in/g2yCs8S for more information.

Today, our team at Don't Panic Labs had the privilege of attending the Nebraska Women in STEM conference. We are thrilled to have been part of this event alongside our colleagues, Alli Koester, Bill Udell, Levi H., Andrea Larsen, and Andrew Rush. Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to learn from an array of impressive women leaders in various STEM fields. It was an honor to be in the presence of such accomplished individuals and hear about their experiences. As a company, we are committed to supporting women in STEM and creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. Events like this conference serve as a reminder of the incredible impact women are making in these fields and motivate us to continue our efforts towards creating a more equitable future. Thank you to all the organizers and speakers who made this event possible. We are grateful to have been a part of it.
